Problems with the outreach Post Office service?

I have heard that there have been a few problems recently regarding the outreach post office in the pavilion. Have you encountered any? We don’t want to lose this facility and need to feed back to the PO any issues that they can deal with as well as giving praise where due too.

53rd Elsworth and District Show

The 53rd Elsworth & District Show will take place on Saturday August 28th 2010 at Elsworth School. It will be opened by Paul Solon, the Chairman of Elsworth Parish Council at 2.00 p.m.

The full Schedule of Show Classes has now been published, and Entry Forms are now available.

NSPCC Cambridge Dining Club

This is an invitation to join The NSPCC Cambridge Dining Club which meets on selected Mondays at La Mimosa Restaurant, on Thompson’s Lane, Cambridge

The Dining Club will meet five times a year at this beautiful riverside restaurant. Annual membership is £25 per person, and the cost for the two course lunch and coffee is just £15 per person. You will also be able to invite your guests to join you at the lunches.

The invited speakers will talk on subjects as varied as ‘superstitions and folklore’, “the opium poppy’ and “changing lives through Dogs for the Disabled” and includes two best selling authors and The Queen’s Honorary Physician.

Funds raised will be used for NSPCC projects, to help children and teenagers at risk, help fund schools information and support programmes within the county, as well as helping to fund operators at ChildLine.

Want to have your say on the future of minerals and waste in the county?

There is a meeting in Hilton Village Hall on 24 February 2010 at 4pm - 8pm to give your views on the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Minerals and Waste Plan.

The Plan sets out policies and locations for new mineral extraction sites and waste management
facilities up until 2026. This is your last chance to comment on the Plan before it is submitted to Government later this year.

Haiti Earthquake Appeal

There will be a Bring and Buy Café in support of the Haiti Earthquake Appeal at Bourn Parish Church this coming Saturday 23rd January, 10am – 12noon

Do you have any unwanted Christmas gifts or anything spare in your cupboards?
Could you bake a cake or if you like, just come for a coffee?

Please bring items to the sale, or deliver by Friday to 43 Alms Hill. Enquiries 01954 719540

Money raised will be sent via Tearfund, who are already helping directly through their partners in Haiti and are also members of the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Tearfund is a Christian Relief organisation which the Papworth Team Ministry regularly supports.
